Aural Skills w/ Dr. J

Tuesday we sang the delicious “Taco Bell Canon” and identified the transcription files (I still have more work to do here). Due to overwhelming absenteeism planned for the MTSU game, I’ve called off class for Thursday.

Today we chanted, and sang some “Hard to Say Goodbye”.   Thanks to everyone who volunteered transcription material.  I’ll add mine to the mix soon.

The first batch of transcriptions have been posted, approximately 40 minutes after class ended!  Click on the J’s Transcriptions button at the top of the page.

The transcriptions page is password-protected.  Do you know whose last name is on the Bandroom?  Enter that name in the password field using correct capitalization and you’ll gain access.  Email me if you have problems…

Today and Thursday are the days we select our transcriptions for the semester.  This is the only opportunity you have to “choose your own poison” so please be prepared to participate if you want to work on one of “your” songs.

This coming week begins our transcription selection process.  Also, you can look for the syllabus to be posted somewhere on this page.   MacGamut definitions are forthcoming.  In the meantime, check out “Soul Searching” on the sidebar at http://www.pribek.net/ and tell Professor Jack that I said “Hi”…
